Mike Bloxham has worked in media research and consulting for over 25 years, advising multi-national corporations, media owners and government agencies on strategic marketing and communications issues on an international basis. A recognized innovator and thought leader in the media space, he has extensive experience in attitudinal and behavioural research across all media and marketing channels with a particular emphasis on the integration of emerging and traditional media among all audiences from children to seniors.

Frank N. Magid Associates has provided expert research-based counsel to clients in the media space for almost sixty years. Mike is charged with building out a practice focused on providing research and consulting solutions to clients seeking to make the right decisions with regard to all aspects of video across all platforms; from programming, marketing and distribution, through strategy, product development and pricing to consumer insights and user experience and more.

Brett is a regular speaker and moderator at international industry events.

Brett has spent over eighteen years in the industry as an analyst, executive manager, and entrepreneur. Previously, he founded and served as vice president for Teligy, a software company specializing in software for wired and wireless communications systems. Brett established new divisions for networking and audio/multimedia software for Intelligraphics. He has also been involved in the development and marketing of early-market products for 802.11 wireless networking, VoIP, and other technologies.
Brett holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in high-tech marketing and a BA in physics from Baylor University.

David Barron is Head of Corporate and Business Development at CableLabs, an R&D consortium for the Cable Industry worldwide. In this role, he works with startups and emerging technology groups in large companies to accelerate the pace of innovation and new technologies within the Cable Industry. Prior to CableLabs, David ran a boutique consulting firm which he cofounded that specialized in media technologies and held management positions involving emerging technology efforts with companies such as Microsoft, Apple and Americast, a joint venture involving Disney and AT&T. He holds a J.D. from Chicago-Kent, an MBA from the Illinois Institute of Technology and an undergraduate degree in Marketing and Computer Science from Ithaca College.

Mark Hashimoto

Mark Hashimoto started his software development career in the 1990’s as a test engineer at Sun Microsystems during the Dot-Com boom. Before joining Comcast, Mark worked ten years as a server side engineer at Plaxo (social networking), Juniper Networks (security routing), and Sun Microsystems (high availability clustering.) He is currently Director of Engineering at Comcast’s Silicon Valley office working on their Internet of Things (IoT) initiative. Mark is a member of National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communication (NAMIC) and focuses his mentorship on college students and newly minted managers. In his spare time, Mark enjoys international backpacking with his wife and two young sons.

Charlie Kindel

Prior to joining Amazon in 2013, Kindel founded several startups in the Seattle area. Kindel also served for 21 years at Microsoft, where he shipped Internet Explorer, Windows NT, Windows home networking, Windows Media Center, Windows Home Server, and Windows Phone 7.

Kindel is a graduate of the University of Arizona, and holds a B.S. in Systems Engineering.

Christian Busch
